Students can get to school independently by bike or by foot in the clean, leafy, international community of Nichada Thani whilst downtown families commute easily in comfortable bespoke transportation.

As children grow, it's important for them to gain independence in various areas of their lives. Being able to travel to school on their own not only gives children a sense of autonomy and responsibility, but it also provides them with valuable life skills. This is something that ISB and the campus town of Nichada Thani caters for beautifully.

When children travel to school independently, they learn how to manage their time effectively and become more self-reliant. They also gain confidence in their ability to navigate their surroundings and handling unexpected situations. In addition, independence fosters a sense of accomplishment and promotes self-esteem in children, which can be essential for their overall development.

Stay in Your (Cycle) Lane!

The extensive cycle paths of Nichada Thani meander through each neighborhood and line each of the main roads around ISB. Students are able to safely navigate their journeys between each others’ houses and to and from school. Friendly Safety Guards are positioned at each crosswalk every morning and after school for additional support - and a ready smile for each cyclist or pedestrian! 

Nichada Thani also organizes regular events at the ‘Secret Garden’, and families can enjoy food, live music, and entertainment without worrying about their children - kids enjoy branching off from their parents and sampling the entertainment in their friendship groups! One parent likened the neighborhood of ‘Nichada’ to ‘old school charm with all modern benefits’ - a place where kids are free to grow up at their own pace and enjoy the right amount of freedom.

The Bangkok Connection

Of course, we don’t forget about our downtown families! ISB has worked in partnership with leading transportation service ‘Montri’ for well over 30 years, and commuting students take advantage of a door-to-door and ‘top of soi’ service to get to and from school. ISB also offers a shuttle bus twice a day for downtown and Nichada parents, helping to foster connections with the campus and also giving parents an opportunity to explore the cultural and retail opportunities of our amazing host city of Bangkok!
