Hang on to your collective hats, ISBers, because in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics we will have two International School Bangkok (ISB) alumni competing. At ISB at different times in their schooling, from different countries and joining the school under different circumstances, their lives have both led them to further study in the U.S.A and to follow their passion in athletics.

    Kieran Tuntivate

Kieran attended ISB in early Elementary School (KG through grade 2) and enjoyed his triathlons even then! A celebrated runner while at Harvard University, he has also been able to very successfully compete for Thailand. Kieran has been in high altitude training in the U.S. as he prepares for the 2021 Olympics. While hopeful of also qualifying for the 5,000m race, in the evening of Friday, 30th July, ISB alumnus, Kieran Tunivate, will be representing Thailand (and ISB!) in the 10,000m run in Tokyo.

    Amalie Iuel

Amalie Iuel was a record-setting track & field athlete while a high school student at ISB (Class of 2013).  She subsequently attended the University of Southern California where she was also a decorated track athlete. In 2016, she took part in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro representing Norway in the 400M Intermediate Hurdles. Amalie is currently in training and has qualified to compete once again in the 400M IH event. Round one of this event is scheduled for Saturday morning, July 31st.

Follow our ISB Facebook Page for more information as the events draw near. ISB looks forward to supporting their alumni athletes in this most prestigious event.

ISB Alumni athletes are numerous, as are those in the arts, in business, politics, sciences and various other endeavours.

As we send off another graduating group of seniors, the ISB Class of 2021, we know that these students will join our alumni family around the world, doing impressive and meaningful work.
