Another pitch for International School Bangkok (ISB) - we are the only school in Thailand to have a pro-baseball field. That, and a 500m2 indoor Golf facility, an IAAF standard athletics track, an Olympic-sized bulkhead swimming pool, multiple theatres, robotics labs, and more. We've got all the bases covered.   

In our final #uniquelyISB post, let’s take a look at some of the facilities our students enjoy every day. We believe that our facilities are unrivaled in Thailand and place us in the top five international schools in Asia. Really, there is no limit to the number of opportunities our students have to explore their passions, be it in the athletics arena, through academic pursuits, or in the arts. 

Step Up to the Plate

ISB is renowned for its exceptional facilities that provide a conducive environment for holistic learning, personal development, and following one’s passions. The campus’s extensive sports complex features multiple fields (including our fantastic pro-baseball field, soccer, and rugby pitch), eight tennis courts, and two swimming pools, several air-conditioned gyms including one for gymnastics and climbing, encouraging students to engage in a wide range of athletic pursuits. Our Golf Center, the largest indoor golf facility in Thailand, is located just outside the main campus and caters to students, staff, and parents alike, expertly guided by golf pros. We've also recently unveiled a whole host of facility improvements including a state-of-the-art fitness center, a newly-enclosed Auxiliary Gym, an Athletic Trainer's room, plus brand new Athletics and Physical Education offices. Eye on the Ball

ISB’s campus encompasses state-of-the-art classrooms equipped with advanced technology, enabling interactive and immersive educational experiences. Two libraries on campus boast an extensive collection of resources, nurturing a love for reading and research. With three dedicated Librarians servicing the needs of all Divisions, students know that there is always someone with a recommendation or a helping literary hand.

Additionally, the school houses modern science, computer and robotics laboratories, an Invention Center and Maker Space, an art and photography studio and dark room, a cultural center, and two fully equipped auditorium theaters, empowering students to explore their passions and talents across various disciplines. There really is something for everyone!

Out of Left Field

Learning is not confined to our expansive Bangkok campus - the learning extends to the great outdoors, with our Environmental Wilderness Campus (EWC). Situated in Petchaburi Province, the EWC is the gold standard model of sustainability in Outdoor Education. We run exceptional education programs whilst enhancing our environment and guarding resources valuable to our own sustainability.

All Middle School students take part in an exciting and challenging outdoor education program ‘Wild Panthers’ during their time in Grades 6-8 - each year the challenges increase and students gain a greater understanding of themselves and the natural world. Students in other grade levels also enjoy visits to the EWC, be it through academic investigation such as IB Biology fieldwork, or as part of a Band or sports team retreat. Each visit is not complete without an evening bonfire with ‘smores to enjoy with classmates.
